I'm Leah (Roth) Bowers. I grew up in Lyons, KS with my Mom, Dad and two older sisters. I have many fond memories of growing up in Lyons and I am grateful to be back in the community that played such a positive role in my youth and transition into adulthood.

I have always had a passion for art, but didn't know where that would take me; until I had a teacher encourage me to follow in her footsteps. It made sense to me!

I continued my adventure, where it led me to Kansas State University. While I was there I kept busy between sorority life, several different philanthropies and, of course, school work. During this time, my passion for art continued to develop.

I experienced my blocks and student teaching at Wakefield schools and had a blast getting to know those K-12 kiddos throughout a full school year.

After graduating in 2014 from KSU, I traveled down the road to Herington, KS for my first teaching job. For the three years I was there, I met a lot of challenges and grew as a teacher. In my third year, I met and started dating my husband, Cody. In addition, I made the big decision to come back home, to Lyons, to teach at the high school level.

I have been back at Lyons High School since the fall of 2016, and have enjoyed the students and the never-ending support. It has been a whirlwind of excitement the first three years at LHS: an engagement year one, the wedding year two, and now Cody and I will be welcoming our very own kiddo into the family in year three!

I don't know what the future has in store, but I'm sure it will be a wild ride!

Success! Message received.
